Fire Alarm Technician

True & Able Fire Protection is looking for a dependable Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. This full-time position involves inspecting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing fire alarm systems for commercial, strata and other properties throughout Victoria and Vancouver Island.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates clearly and values doing the job right.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems
• Troubleshoot system issues and identify deficiencies
• Complete service, maintenance and repair work
• Perform testing in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Complete accurate inspection and service documentation
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations
• Work professionally in occupied commercial and strata properties
• Follow company and workplace safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with fire alarm systems, inspection, testing or service
• Relevant fire alarm training or certification is an asset
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and documentation
• Professional and respectful communication
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
